- 500 grams Wholemeal Flour or 3 cups 750ml
- 3ml Salt
- 10ml Cream of Tartar
- 5ml Bicarbonate of Soda
- 450ml Milk
- 45ml Bran
- Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celcius
- Mix together the flour, salt, cream of tartar and bicarb
- Add just enough milk and mix into a soft, slightly sticky dough
- Shape the dough into a ball and roll it in the bran
- Place the dough in an oiled baking tray
- Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes
