Ingredients
- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup wholewheat stoneground flour
- 200-250 grams normal runny honey
- 125 grams butter
- 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
Options/Alternatives
- Use Rye Flour instead of Wholewheat
- Add 1-2 Tbsp Golden or Maple Syrup to wet ingredients
- Add 2 Tbsp Cocoa for Chocolate Crunchies to dry ingredients
Preheat your oven to 140-150 degrees celcius. Baking time depend’s on the flour you use +-20min for wholewheat and 30min for rye flour.
Mix sifted dry ingredients, oats, flour, dessicated coconut, together excluding the Bicarb
Melt butter and honey together and once melted stir in the bicarb
Mix wet ingredients into dry thoroughly and place into a 20x30cm greased baking tray.
Bake until golden brown. You can then cut and place back into a cooled oven to dry further if you like more crunchy crunchies.
