Mail sending issue with telkomsa.net account

POP3 Incoming mail server: pop3.telkomsa.net
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net [if you use ADSL], smtp.telkomsa.net if not, or smtp.saix.net or smtp.saix.co.za
Username: full email address [as provided by Telkom Internet]
Password: mail account password [as provided by Telkom Internet]

In Outlook you will need to go to More Settings
On the Outgoing Server tab, leave the checkbox indicating “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” unchecked
Under the Advanced tab
Incoming server (POP3): 110
Leave unchecked “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”
Outgoing server (SMTP): 25
Set the “Use the following type of encrypted connection:” to None
Other settings are at your discretion

  1. Thank you the SMTP.saix .net worked for me. Phoned Telkom and they could not help – so appreciate your assistance.

  2. Most useless provider in the World. When
    things go wrong forget about asking for assistance. Mail down since early last year but subs paid every month. Apparently they have not changed my phone number from when I fisrt Signed on.

  3. I have tried every combination of Options on both 10210 and 10213 – none provided any help! Time to simply abandon my telkom email account and save my sanity! Thank goodness for gmial!
