Resizing images to send via Gmail or email

You may have a bunch of images taken with a DSLR that are huge and need to be scaled to make them small enough to easily be sent to your recipients, without overwhelming their connection.

Shrinking images for gmail / email can be reasonably painless. Most image resizing software work in much the same manner.

Resize images to send via Gmail / Email with Image Resizer for Windows

Image Resizer for Windows is a free download. To downsize a large image using the application:

  • Install Image Resizer for Windows
  • Right-click on one or more images in File Explorer
  • Click Resize pictures
  • Select one of the preconfigured sizes or create a custom size
  • Click Resize

Now you can use the Insert photo or Attach files button in Gmail to add the photos to your mail.
