Did Chrome shut down and restart and you either didn’t see the “Restore previous session” button or it went away before you had a chance to click it?
- Kill your Chrome session via task manager – Ctrl+Shift+Esc
- Go to \Users\username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default or here for XP C:\Documents and Settings\%username\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
- Rename “Current Session” to “Current Session.old”
- Rename “Current Tabs” to “Current Tabs.old”
- Then rename “Last Session” to “Current Session” & “Last Tabs” to “Current Tabs”
- Restart Chrome and click restore and you should be good to go!!
Never knew this was possible – thanks for the tip! Saved and will definetely give it a go should I (hopefully not) need to do this.. or find someone else who does. 🙂
