Full Error: The document you are trying to print has an incorrect page size or paper style. Please refer to the Troubleshooting topic in the online help.
This is usually caused by Sage Pastel trying to print to an A4, the standard in civilised countries, and the primarily US configured printers wanting “Letter” paper.
Check your Printer Setup
- In your search bar type Printers & then select the Printers & scanners option
- Ensure the printer you are using in Sage Pastel Accounting is selected as the default printer
- Every printer is different, you need to ensure on all the tabs where it shows paper style/size it shows A4. These are ussually under the General, Advanced and Device Settings tab on the printer properties.
- Select OK to confirm the changes

Follow the steps below to correct the printer settings:
- Login into the company with the issue
- Select File>Printer/Font Setup
- Select the Customers>Documents tab
- Select the document type that does not want to print e.g. Tax Invoice
- Ensure the correct printer is selected, select Set Printer to change the printer
- Ensure Get Paper Size Directly From Printer is selected
- The Paper Style Assistant will display the paper selected to print on, should this be incorrect select Paper Style Assistant and follow the prompts to set the correct paper
- Plain Single Sheet for A4 printing
- Pre–printed Continuous for customised paper
- If the paper size and style is the same for all documentats, you can complete the setup for one document and select the option Copy to All Documents. The changes will be applied to all the documents.
- Otherwise proceed with the same steps to ensure the Customer Statements and Supplier Remittances are correct
