Legislative Release Update
- You will make a backup as part of the Legslative release process
- You can only run a Legislative Release if all of your employees have a status of Not Processed.
- If you have done a Payroll Run and paid the employees the amounts. Do a pay period update before continuing
- If you have done a Payroll Run and have not yet paid the employees. Do a clear run flags before continuing
- Navigate File>Legislative release
- Click Next (The legislative Upgrade / Update overview screen)
- Click Next (The Backup Screen) – Make sure to Backup
- Click Process (The confirm operation screen)
- Click Yes for all the prompts that come up
- After the prompts a progress indicator screen will appear.
- Legislative release can take time to run. It aligns all of the employees and their financial fields to the requirements of the system. Do not end the task during this release even if the system becomes non responsive. Wait for the release to finish. The more employees you have, the longer the release can take
- Once the Legislative release is done, a message will display advising you that the legislative changes have been made, click on OK
- You can Close the Print To screen, or select a directory to print the changes to
- Click Finish
Issues with running the release
- Download the latest relase here http://payrollupdate.sagesouthafrica.co.za/pastel/ under the Countries tab
- Uninstall the old release and then install the new release
- Now re-run the Legislative Release Update
